Summary:
Coach Waxer is a Physical Education Teacher at Syosset H.S.  Coach Waxer earned his degree at East Carolina University and played 4 years of NCAA Div I college soccer for the Pirates. After graduating, he spent one season as a Graduate Assistant coach at ECU where he was primarily responsible for working with the defense.

In 2005, Coach Waxer became the Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach in Syosset and has enjoyed seeing the program come together as a Family and play at a highly competitive level year after year. The 2012 season was an extremely special season for the Braves, as they earned their first NASSAU COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP since 1998.  With having previous season making it to the quater finals, semi finals and the county finals, the Braves were happy to bring back home to Syosset a champioship season.

With the endless hours the players have to put in to be committed to the Soccer Program at Syosset, Coach Waxer is proud to be surrounded by such great kids. Waxer is a big believer in treating the team as a family and has enjoyed seeing the boys gel together and battle for one another year after year.

Coach Waxer believes strongly that a large success in the Program has come from Assistant Coach Pedicini. With Coach Pedicini’s knowledge of the game and ability to get players to reach their full potential, Waxer has been able to focus on other key aspects of the team. Coach Pedicini has many years of coaching experience and has a great passion for the game of soccer. He is a great asset to the Syosset Family and the players are fortunate to learn from him both in the classroom and on the pitch.

Waxer is also the Boys Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach.  The 2012 season for the Braves Lacrosse team was also a special one, as they too won the NASSAU COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP.

Coach Waxer and Coach Pedicini are proud to see where they are today.  Coach Waxer lived down the block from Coach Pedicini and took rides from him to East Meadow HS.  To grow up as childhood friends, play soccer together, and now teach and coach together is something not many people get to do!
